| When just a baby his biological mother gave him up for adoption instead of opting for an abortion, allowing a loving relationship to develop with his new parents. “I am grateful she gave me up, for my adopted parents have loved me more than she ever could,” Chase says.
Chase explains that it is the same way with Christ who loves unconditionally. As a minister of the Gospel, he holds dear the significance of the spiritual adoption into the family of God. God’s sovereignty over his past as well as his future made him realize that he was being prepared for the ministry all along. “No matter where you are, all it takes is obedience and a step of faith,” Chase says. As a wayward teen, Chase sought all the wrong things in life and eventually wound up at the feet of Jesus. Being saved by God’s grace, Chase began his journey in life and his walk with the Lord. In the space of about five years he met his wife, had children, graduated from Bible college, and began work as a pastor to several churches. After thirteen years as a minister another realization took place. “I realized one thing at that point in my life. I love to see people come to Christ through faith as well as traveling and meeting new people,” Chase says. This was the powerful transforming change that made all the difference in his service to the Lord. In 2005, Chase joined Dr. Roy Mason and Global Evangelism Ministries thereby combining his two loves. GEM is a ministry that takes the Gospel to those areas of the world untouched or underexposed to the message of Christ. GEM has ongoing projects in Ghana, the Czech Republic and Romania. Chase’s enthusiasm for proclaiming the Gospel is utilized in the mission field and keeps him traveling. “Being a part of GEM has showed me the great need we have in our world for mission work that is genuinely evangelistic. Without apology we are sharing Jesus’ love,” says Chase.
As a resident of Andrews, North Carolina, Chase admits he lives in one of the most beautiful places in the world. Yet, through his many travels in the field, he says the real beauty is seeing God’s awesome power working in the lives of people everywhere.

ROMANIA UPDATE (December 2006) The work in Romania continues for GEM despite new challenges and old prevailing prejudices. In this formerly communist country there are dozens of small villages in which the people are not mindful of the things of God. Many profess no belief at all due to the violent suppression of a generation of people over the last fifty years. This is the overall culture in which GEM is engaged in fighting the good fight of faith.
Such is the case in a town of about 3000 souls where I worked recently with a host pastor of a small Christian church. There are three such churches in this village. Through God’s grace GEM’s work of evangelistic meetings over the last five years has spawned new church plants consisting of new believers and indigenous ministries.
What we find now is growth at a standstill and the next step needed is encouraging mission-minded activity to reach the lost for Christ in these communities. My host pastor understands this need and together we worked during this project to energize the people to perform the ultimate goal of the Great Commission, which is the primary function of God’s children.
This next step in the life of any church is difficult. The natural tendency is to draw inward with fellow believers and not reach outside the confines of the church. Therefore our focus on this project was to express the vital need for growth based on the sound foundation of reaching out to others with the Gospel message. What drew them was the Gospel and now they must be proclaimers as well.
This is indeed a critical juncture for these churches in Romania. We must invigorate and edify these new churches so that they become energized to throw off the chains of stagnation that can so easily beset a congregation that becomes too comfortable. We see it many times over right here in America. People are really the same all over the world and the only hope lies in the True Light of the Gospel.
We are in hopeful prayer that revival in this dark part of the world continues to shine. Global Evangelism Ministries solicits your thoughtful prayers and support as we work to share the love of God and fulfill our obligation to Christ’s commands. There is much work to be done and God has all the provision for His purposes.

MINISTRY UPDATES Mission to Ghana saw 14,956 decisions (Sept. 20 – Oct.6). Dr. Roy Mason and Jeff Andler partnered together for this two week project of sharing the gospel in the schools and villages. Jeff writes, “Despite interruptions by the demon possessed and drunk, and physical threats on one occasion to our set-up team, the Lord prevailed as we held 55 total meetings, preached to over 22,000 people and saw 14,956 “indicated” professions of faith! Three churches were planted in villages where none previously existed and one local team member indicated that God had called him into evangelism! “ CENTRAL EUROPE Late November we will have two teams ministering. One in the Czech Republic and another in Romania. Please begin to pray for us as we will be preaching the gospel in churches, reaching people through street evangelism and seeking new ways in which we may minister. I will be part of the team that will be conducting church revival meetings in the area of Arad Romania. Many of the people of this area are Greek Orthodox and many are blind to the truth of having any real and meaning relationship with Christ. Unto all the World! Mark R.
